Palliative Care Medicine

You’d be joining an established hospital system to start up a new service line, 100% Palliative Medicine. In the past, Eisenhower has contracted/employed physicians for this role that have also had vested interests in Hospice Care facilities. The feedback from the referring physicians and patients is that they would be expedited, in most cases, to Hospice Care without having a true focus on how Palliative Care could help first. The vision is to have a 100% Palliative Care physician to work with that focus in mind. You’d be the lead of the Department and work in a consulting capacity onsite for the group, as an Eisenhower employee.
