Glendive and West Glendive, which are divided by the Yellowstone River that flows through the town, is a community of approximately 7,000. The catchment area of 19,000 serves a 10-county region. It attracts over 140,000 visitors annually due to the largest state park, Makoshika State Park, located in town as well as other attractions; the Yellowstone River, the Dino Trail, Paddlefish Festival, and the many outdoor activities the region offers: fishing, hunting, biking, hiking, exploring for fossils and dinosaur bones. Glendive is in Southeatern Montana.
