Mariposa Community Health Center (MCHC) is an FQHC that has been serving southeast Arizona for over 40 years. They are made up of 5 different facilities, with the addition of 2 new locations they have just acquired, servicing 47,000 residents scattered throughout Santa Cruz County and has become the largest comprehensive healthcare provider in the region. An hour south of Tucson you will have access to all the amenities of a big city but be able to work and live in a quieter tight knit community.
MCHC is looking to replace a departing provider who is moving to Tucson to be closer to the schools which her children attend. Dr. Woodard has been with the facility since completing residency 5 years ago. She is leaving very reluctantly and has grown to love not only the staff and organization but the community and the local citizens. She is currently the only permanent OBGYN provider with MCHC along with a fully practicing NP who sees and managers her own patients until the time of delivery and will continue to manage them afterwards.
MCHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center and provides healthcare to anyone who walks through their doors. They live by the motto “We want to take care of you regardless of your ability to pay”. They are rapidly expanding and will be adding two new facilities in the near future that will be able to provide more residents of Arizona with the proper healthcare and resources they deserve.
Nogales, Arizona is a thriving community of over 45K residents and located only 170 miles south of Phoenix and only a short 68-mile trip from the buzzing city of Tucson. Although being further south of both popular city destinations, Nogales is located at a higher elevation which offers a much milder climate. The Summer temperatures only go up to the mid 90’s and the Winters only go down the low 30’s. This allows a life of mostly sunny days, 288 a year, without the blazing sun of Phoenix.
