Medical Director – Hospitalist Overview
The current Medical Director along with three other providers, two MDs and an NP, are stepping down from hospitalist work and transitioning to outpatient primary care. The Medical Director is a rock-solid leader but was feeling a little overwhelmed with the by the position having to work clinical shifts and be responsible for all the administrative components of the position. Most of the times things run very nicely and it is easily managed but from time to time the HR issues can take over and cause an abundance of extra work.
