Interventional Cardiology Position Overview

Adventist Health Sonora is recruiting an Interventional Cardiologist to join its growing cardiology program in Sonora, California. This opportunity involves joining an established team comprising a non-interventional cardiologist and two nurse practitioners. The position includes a focus on expanding the recently developed state-of-the-art catheterization lab. Responsibilities include various interventional and diagnostic cardiology procedures, such as cardiac catheterization, percutaneous coronary intervention, and pericardiocentesis. The role also involves fluoroscopy privileges, EKG and stress test interpretations, and intra-aortic balloon pump management.

The position is employed through the Adventist Health Medical Group, offering a competitive salary ranging from $540,000 to $794,248 annually.

Key Requirements:

  • Fellowship training and Board Certification/Eligibility in Interventional Cardiology.
  • Level 3 training in cardiac catheterization/intervention; peripheral intervention is preferred but not mandatory.
  • California licensure or eligibility is required.
  • Experience in cardiac MRI/CT is advantageous.
