Your practice at Bozeman Health will be refreshingly focused on what drew you to Internal Medicine in the first place: building long-term relationships with adult patients and managing the full spectrum of primary care medicine without the competing demands of inpatient responsibilities. This is a 100% outpatient Internal Medicine position where hospitalists handle all inpatient admissions, allowing you to dedicate your clinical energy entirely to your panel of patients ages 18 and up. You will join a well-established Internal Medicine department of 13 physicians supported by 10 advanced practice providers across multiple clinic locations throughout the Bozeman area.
What sets this opportunity apart is the genuine flexibility built into the practice model. At the time of your interview, you will have the choice between two clinic locations, each offering its own advantages. The Belgrade Clinic sits approximately 15 minutes northwest of Bozeman Health Deaconess Regional Medical Center, serving the growing Belgrade community with convenient access for patients in the Gallatin Valley's northern corridor. The Cottonwood Clinic, located about 10 minutes east of the hospital, serves patients in Bozeman's expanding east side neighborhoods. Both clinics maintain the same practice structure and support model, so your choice comes down to commute preferences and the patient population you wish to serve. This flexibility extends to your schedule as well, with most providers working a 4-day workweek that includes a weekday off, creating the work-life balance that makes practicing in Montana's mountains genuinely sustainable.
This position represents an opportunity to practice Internal Medicine the way it should be practiced: with adequate time for patient visits, protected administrative time for quality documentation and care coordination, and a call schedule that respects your need for rest and personal time. The choice of clinic location at the time of your interview reflects Bozeman Health's understanding that physicians perform best when they have autonomy over the fundamental aspects of their practice environment.
