The primary focus lies in out-patient Pulmonology, leveraging the transitioning retirement of a senior colleague to explore opportunities for individuals eager to expand into sleep medicine. On the in-patient side, you will take charge of a 6-bed ICU and an 8-bed step-down unit. Predominantly clinic-based, the role involves call duties as the critical care specialist, managing 10 shifts per month from 7 am to 7 pm, with no overnight obligations. The recent inclusion of locum physicians has significantly heightened patient acuity in the ICU, underscoring the immediate need for 1 – 2 additional Pulmonary/Critical Care specialists.
