Physician Recruitment Process and Compensation Overview

Base Salary is offered for your first two years at: $260,000
During your first two years your RVU threshold is set below median at the 45th % (5,652) allowing you to earn additional income even while you’re growing your practice. The goal is for our physicians to be able to earn a high income and they do all they can to ensure you have the support to reach the goals you have.

Proforma –
The RVU compensation program is extremely competitive. With a very low threshold at 35th% their production incentive plan allows you to achieve top income in your field by being able to quickly reach your bonus potential:
20 Patients Per Day: $1.490.40 x 235 days = $350,244
22 Patients Per Day: $1,639.44 x 235 days = $385, 268
24 Patients Per Day: $1,788.48 x 235 days = $420,292
26 Patients Per Day: $1,937.52 x 235 days = $455,317 

Time off –
Over 5 Weeks Paid Time Off
21 Days of Vacation and Sick, and 5 Days for CME, with 8 Paid holidays

Benefits –
Benefits offered by AdventHealth Redmond align with their core values in taking care of you and your family by starting your eligibility on your first date of hire with no waiting period (Start Day 1). You’ll have 10 days to enroll.

Quality Bonus –
AdventHealth offers Quality Bonuses on an annual basis after your first two years referred to as the guarantee period (the current program is being updated to take advantage of new reporting tools they have access to). 

Signing or retention bonuses:
Offered with your compensation program is a generous signing bonus of $25,000 with a two-year forgiveness period. This is unlike most programs that require 3 years of forgiveness.   

Relocation –
Relocation is paid for up to $15,000, and this is taxable according to the IRS.
This amount is higher than many employers that offer $10,000 to $12,000 maximum.

401k/403b/457 -
Available on your start date.

Employee savings plans like AHRP’s 403(b) and 401(a) Plans are among the most recommended ways to save for retirement. In fact, saving even a small amount can help you feel more in control of your future.

Employee contributions – You can contribute a whole or fractional percentage of your
eligible pay. Employee contributions are deposited into the AHRP 403(b).

Matching contributions – If you meet the Plan eligibility requirements and you make
contributions to the Plan, you will receive matching contributions bi-weekly. Matching
contributions are deposited into the AHRP 401(a).

Matching contributions calculation
50% on the first 4% of eligible pay evaluated per payroll
period with a year-end true-up.

Basic contributions – If you meet the Plan eligibility requirements, you will receive basic
contributions annually regardless of whether you are making contributions to the Plan or
not. Basic contributions are deposited into AHRP 401(a). Basic contributions are subject
to the Last Day Worked Rule.

Basic contributions - Social Security Wage Base*
2.6% of eligible wages

*The Social Security Wage Base for 2024 is $168,600. Additional 1.5% contribution made for eligible wages above the Social
Security Wage Base up to $345,000.

Loan repayment –
Georgia offers several physician student loan repayment programs that new graduates can take advantage of. Here are some key programs:

1. Georgia Physician Loan Repayment Program (GPLRP)
Overview: This program provides loan repayment assistance to physicians who agree to practice in underserved areas of Georgia.
Eligibility: Physicians who commit to working in designated Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) or medically underserved areas.
Benefits: Up to $25,000 per year for up to 5 years, depending on the location and commitment.

2. National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program
Overview: Although a federal program, the NHSC offers loan repayment for physicians who work in federally designated HPSAs, including those in Georgia.
Eligibility: Must work in an approved site and commit to a 2-year service obligation.
Benefits: Up to $50,000 for two years of service, with additional funding available for extended commitments.

3. Georgia Rural Loan Repayment Program
Overview: Focuses on incentivizing medical professionals to practice in rural and underserved areas within Georgia.
Eligibility: Physicians who commit to working in designated rural areas.
Benefits: Loan repayment assistance, with specific amounts depending on the commitment and location.

4. Georgia State Loan Repayment Program
Overview: Administered by the Georgia Department of Public Health, this program offers loan repayment for those practicing in underserved areas.
Eligibility: Physicians working in federally designated shortage areas or rural locations in Georgia.
Benefits: Varies based on location and service commitment.

These programs often require a commitment to work in specific geographic areas or types of facilities and may have application deadlines and specific criteria. It’s a good idea for new graduates to research each program’s requirements and consider applying early to maximize their opportunities for loan repayment assistance.
