Position Overview

Enhancing Healthcare Access in Remote Alaska: A Comprehensive Approach to Patient Care

Our approach to patient care takes into consideration remote living by offering 28 field clinics across Alaska throughout the year. We also coordinate appointments by video teleconference for patients who need follow-up visits without the expense and hassle of traveling to Anchorage.

Our cardiovascular lab has been credentialed through the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission for Echocardiography and Vascular Sonography since 2008.

Services we provide

  • Electrocardiography
  • Echocardiography
  • Stress echocardiography
  • Vascular sonograms
  • Exercise treadmill testing
  • Event and holter monitors/24-hour blood pressure monitoring
  • Pacemaker/defibrillator implant and interrogation
  • Cardiac catheterizations
  • Percutaneous coronary intervention (stents)
  • Trans telephonic monitoring of pacemakers (TTM)
  • Video teleconference evaluations
Our team is utilizing and prefers the radial approach to angiography and would prefer a physician that aligns with this clinical preference. Moving away from the femoral approach has allowed us to reduce complications.
