Rheumatology Practice: Patient Volume, Care Coordination, and Unique Opportunities

We average 10 patients per day in clinic and can have up to 15 if all patient slots are full and attended. There is no additional time allocated for admin due to the significantly slower schedule and higher percentage of no shows. You can expect less than 1 inpatient consult per week. Our team utilizes a cross specialty communication software called Tiger Text that helps all providers stay in touch with other specialists that may also be treating a patient of theirs. This system allows you to receive questions from our hospitalists or other groups that may have a question about a patient for you to address.

To serve our beneficiaries, we have developed a great coordinated care model that allows us to improve the efficacy of our care. We have an extensive drug formulary that makes it easier for our Rheumatologists and patients to obtain medications. The opportunity to travel to remote villages and see patients in need allows for our team to make a noticeable and direct impact in patient lives unseen anywhere else in the United States. Expect to See-Rheumatoid Arthritis, Reactive Arthritis, Spondyloarthropathies, Lupus, Connective Tissue Disease, Vasculitis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, HLA B27.
