Diagnostic Neuroradiology Overview

Banner Health University Medical Center Tucson is currently recruiting for a Radiologist that subspecializes in Diagnostic Neuroradiology to help develop the future Radiologists and practice in the top of your field. Banner UMC Tucson is looking for someone to work alongside and collaborate with their colleagues, to grow the clinical programs, follow their curiosity and passion through research projects, and teach fellows and residents.  

Position Overview

  • Join the team of 4.3 FTE Neuroradiologists  + 3 Neuroradiology Fellows
    • Procedures: Contrast injections for myelograms and lumbar punctures, biopsies
    • Newly installed, state of the art, MRI and CT systems! 
    • A dedicated research 3T MR scanner is present in our research space
  • Scope of work: Tertiary care for multispecialty academic practice, stroke center, spine work.   
  • Multi-specialty clinic setting allows for collaboration between medical professionals.  
  • Academic Involvement: publishing of peer-reviewed manuscripts and participation in local and national educational opportunities  
  • Call 1:5- Call is all subspecialty driven (cover subspecialty inpatients and ED) 
    • 7-day call schedule. Monday-Monday 5pm-8am 
    • Typically, only 1-2 calls/week in the evenings! 
    • Saturday shift 7am-5pm 
    • You get the Monday off post call! 
    • ED typical turnover times for call. 3pm-midnight- two dedicated RADs for ED.  
    • Saturday shift on service with a fellow.  
    • 5pm-8am, three residents in rotation pool.
