Blue Ridge Health is a nonprofit, community-based health organization and FQHC founded in 1963 in Western North Carolina and was also among the first of the migrant health centers opened in the US during this time. Over time, Blue Ridge Health continued to expand and provided patient care to a more diverse group of patients within just 15 years. As an FQHC, Blue Ridge Health offers the same high-quality healthcare services to the uninsured and underinsured populations of Western North Carolinas it offers to those with insurance. Blue Ridge Health prides itself in providing accessible, affordable healthcare for all. This community-based healthcare system also had a mutual merge with Meridian Behavioral Health Services which has allowed them to reach more patients than ever before with judgment-free support for issues related to mental illness, substance abuse, etc. This allowed its providers to assist more patients than ever supporting mental illness, substance use, recovery, etc. Blue Ridge is also known for its comprehensive healthcare for all ages with 5 different specialties, behavioral health/counseling, nutritional services, school-based services, and so much more.
Their team strives to be a community-focused leader for health, education and innovation by providing integrated whole-person care, advancing healthy lifestyles and training an exceptional workforce while promoting workplace excellence
