Clinical Component
- 100% outpatient
- 70% of the practice will be diabetes case management, the rest will consist of smaller percentages of pituitary disease management, hyperthyroidism, thyroid cancer, adrenal dysfunction, osteoporosis, and obesity.
- Physicians see 20-25 patients per day.
- Patients seen from 8 am – 12 pm and then 1 pm – 5 pm
40 minutes – New Patients
20 minutes – Follow Ups - PCPs manage Type 2 Diabetes patients; uncontrolled cases go to Endo.
- Biopsies are also available and optional, as well as ultrasounds and infusions.
- Insulin pumps are also available.
Diabetes Education is currently offered in the hospital. The RN works an 8-5 schedule as well, which is helpful for the incoming Endo for case management.
