The position is going to be 100% outpatient with no inpatient responsibilities. Any inpatient needs are addressed by our 24/7 hospitalist team (The Alaska Hospitalist Group/Sound Physicians) and stroke is covered via TeleStroke with Blue Sky consulting the ED who administers the TPA. Dr. Ashman does come in for consults from time to time to work with the Spine surgeon and pain, but it is not a requirement.
Dr. Ashman is a general Neurologist, but also takes care of all the Sleep studies. They have a need for a provider that can see any other Neurological Subspecialty. Reading EMG & EEGs are a requirement for the job, and the patient panel is going to be predominately adults with very little pediatrics.
