Chief Clinical Officer Overview

The CCO position is an employed position with Community Health Center of Central Missouri. They are recruiting for a CCO, because their prior CCO, Dr. Crystal Sullivan, was promoted to CEO in 2020. At that time, they promoted Dr. El Khatib (pediatrician) to CCO, but she stepped back from the role in late 2022 due to family circumstances.

The CCO works at the main location in Jefferson City and does not require any travel to the three satellite clinics. The schedule is Monday through Friday with 2.5 days administrative and 2.5 days clinical. The CCO participates in the call rotation, which is extremely light, phone-only call on a 1:6 rotation. During the administrative days, the CCO’s responsibilities include overseeing 15 medical providers across four locations, reviewing metrics, creating policies and policy review, as well as other administrative duties.

CHCCMO is offering a very competitive financial package, including a guaranteed salary between $280,000-$310,000 (depending on leadership experience), production bonus, negotiable sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and they quality for NHSC federal loan forgiveness program, which offers up to $50,000 in loan forgiveness. You will enjoy up to 44 days paid time off per year, with 23 days PTO, 7 major holidays, 2 floating holidays, and 8 hours of sick time per month. The organization allows for 1 week CME and pays $5,000 towards CME expenses. All required licenses and certifications for this position are paid for by CHCCMO. The organization also provides malpractice and tail coverage.
