Physician Recruitment Process and Compensation Overview

Compensation

CMC structures primary care compensation around a competitive base at the MGMA median with WRVU productivity incentives on top, so earnings scale with volume. Both roles share the same benefits package.

Compensation

The base plus WRVU model rewards productivity. Current CMC primary care physicians earn $475,000–$500,000+, which supports the $425,000+ income potential used to position the opportunity.

Loan Repayment

• PSLF (Public Service Loan Forgiveness) eligibility
• SC AHEC Rural Incentive Grant up to $15,000 per year for qualifying sites

Time Off and CME

• 24 PTO days
• 5 CME days (29 days total off)
• $3,000 annual CME allowance

Base is $265,000–$285,000 with productivity on top. Confirm whether the report should state the $425K+ potential explicitly to candidates, or lead with base plus WRVU and reference current-physician earnings.
• Base range source: The $265K–$285K base comes from your notes and the FM presentation. The recruiter one-pagers say "competitive base salary (typically MGMA median)" without a number. Confirm whether to publish the dollar range or keep it as "MGMA median" in the candidate-facing version.
• SC AHEC grant: Applies to "qualifying sites" only. Confirm which of the Cypress Circle, Socastee, Postal Way, and Aynor locations qualify before promising this to a candidate.
