Position Overview

Understanding the Role

The opportunity at Dignity Health/St. Joe’s in Stockton, California, is a Diagnostic Radiology position with a focus on general radiology, allowing candidates to primarily concentrate on their subspecialty. This role does not require procedures, including mammograms or PET scans. The selected candidate will read exclusively at St. Joe’s, without responsibilities at other hospitals.

More specifically, this position would be joining ARIA (Advanced Radiology & Interventional Associates), which is the sole Radiology group for St. Joe’s and many surrounding Hospitals. As an Income partner, there is the opportunity to increase earnings by taking on additional after-hours reads. The group uses a single PACS system with full IT support, and all radiologists, including new hires, will have a read-from-home station set up in the first year.

The group is well-supported, including 2 Physician Assistants (PAs) on-site from Monday through Friday. With no responsibilities for fluoroscopy, and a flexible schedule, this position offers a balanced work-life approach.

The group is partner-driven, and partners receive the title of "Income Partner," though there is no ownership of the group or its equipment. The model rewards productivity, with radiologists receiving 80-90% of the RVUs they generate, offering significant earning potential for high performers. For example, we have several radiologists who earn up to or above $900,000 annually, depending on the volume of RVUs read.
