This is an outpatient Psychiatry position. You will be joining 6 other board-certified Psychiatrists, along with Psychologists, Social Therapists, LPT’s and additional support staff. The schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (32 patient contact hours and 8 hours of protected admin). Most of their Psychiatrists average 8-10 patients/day between new patients, follow ups, and therapy, but you are able to see more if you’re comfortable doing so.
We Care. In response to the growing health care needs of the community, in 2013 Eisenhower Medical Center established Eisenhower Behavioral Health, a hospital-based outpatient behavioral health program located on the main campus in Rancho Mirage, California. The most common reasons people seek help from Eisenhower Behavioral Health are depression and anxiety. Other reasons to seek an appointment would be for relationship problems, grief and loss, stress from medical issues and/or pain, and aggression/self-harming behaviors. The Behavioral Health clinic uses an interdisciplinary teamwork approach consisting of board certified psychiatrists as well as licensed clinical social workers, therapists, psychiatric technicians, registered nurses and other support staff.

Using this interdisciplinary approach, psychiatrists and staff at Eisenhower Behavioral Health provide individualized treatment to patients to return them to their highest level of normal daily functioning. Counseling services utilize a variety of solution-focused techniques such as cognitive, behavioral and supportive.
Offices are comfortable and allow staff to conduct interviews/assessments in the utmost privacy. Patients have described the therapy rooms as warm and inviting which promotes the opportunity for the healing process to begin. The program treats patients with all types of issues - emotional, social and situational problems such as depression, stress, addictive behaviors, relationship problems, grief and loss, confused thinking, anger, memory issues, aggression/self-harming behaviors and stress from medical issues and/or pain.
