Flexible Emergency Medicine Position: 12 and 24-Hour Shift Options with Competitive Patient Volume and Procedural Experience

This will be a Emergency Medicine position with the ability to work a combination of 12 or 24 hour shifts. Ability to work extra shifts for additional income. You can work all day shifts, all night shift or a combination of both.


Patients Volume:
14,400 per year
Average of 40 patients in a 24 hour period.
Can be 30-50 in 24 hours, they have seen as many as 70 but that is extremely rare.

Schedule:
12-hour shifts. If you work all 12-hour sgift, the expectation is to work 14-15 shifts per month.
24-hour shifts If you work all 24 hour shift, the expection is to work 6-8 shifts per month.
You will have the option to work a combination of 12 and 24-hour shift upon availability.

Who runs the codes:
ER does for the night shifts
Hospitalist does for the day shifts

Expected procedures. Basic ER procedures including chest tubes, intubations and central lines. GS will be available for backup as needed.

ER physicians writes the orders and admits the patient as needed.

EMR – T-Systems

RN coverage – 3-4:1 ER physician. 

Interview Process 

• Candidates will be submitted to the EMC team.
• A phone/virtual interview will be scheduled with the EMC Team.
• If the call goes well, an onsite interview will be scheduled.
