Clinical Component

Now that we covered the history of the organization and why we are looking to recruit, let’s now transition to the nuts and bolts of the practice opportunity.

Clinical Component

This is an employed position with the hospital. It is general ENT position seeing all ages. You will enjoy a 4-day work week with 2 clinic days and 1 OR day in Laramie and 1 clinic day in Cheyenne. There is a healthy referral network of audiologists and pathologists, as Ivinson Memorial is the only ENT program in the area. You will be taking over for Dr. Johnson who is leaving to work for the state of Wyoming. In the Laramie location you will work alongside great staff including an ENT NP Teresa who has been in practice since 2016. She is willing to see anything, and can do many procedures.

The Cheyenne clinic opened in July 2022 and is set up with 5 exam rooms and a procedure room. Dr. Silver works part-time in the Cheyenne clinic. Along with great support staff you will also be working with ENT NP Lauren who has been in practice almost 3 years and can do procedures as well. The patients from Cheyenne who need surgery will go to Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie.

Debbie the OR Manager is very organized. SPD has direct access to the core through a separate elevator. For most cases the OR staff includes 1-2 scrub techs, circulator, and anesthesia. The 6 techs are trained in all specialties and well rounded. They also have SFA on staff, available for cases.  The General surgeon on staff is doing head & neck cases, but ENT is more than welcome to take over.
