After you and your spouse/significant other have reviewed the information on the
practice and community, and you are interested in being considered for the
opportunity, kindly forward Bradley Tuz, Travis Carlton or Ryan Gehrke a copy of
your CV if we do not already have it. We will need to spend some time on the
phone with you, and your spouse, to gain a clear understanding of your current
situation. We will document that information in the form of a cover letter and
forward that on to our client.
We will verify your board certification and all state licenses. You will need to
complete our candidate disclosure form and send it back to your consultant. If you
have any current or past malpractice cases that were dropped, settled or still
pending we will need them to be disclosed to our client. Kindly provide us a brief
written explanation of these cases. We will need to know the level of your current
malpractice coverage, the annual cost and if it is claims made or occurrence. For
surgical specialties, we will need to provide our client with 1-2 years of case logs,
prior to your interview.
After your interview, the hospital will receive feedback from all staff members that
met with you over the next three weeks. We will follow up with you regarding
your interest. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Bradley Tuz, Travis
Carlton or Ryan Gehrke at Pacific Companies. You should expect 20-30 days to
receive your Letter of Intent/Contract, and within 90 days to receive a formal
contractual offer.
Upon acceptance of your offer and execution of your contract you will need to
complete a state license and medical staff application. Applying for a state license
in Ohio License may take 6 months. In order to expedite this process, it will be
important to fill out the application completely. Contact the person responsible for
verifying your credentials from any previous location where you had privileges,
licenses, or completed your education or training. Make sure to put all of their
contact information-direct dial phone number, fax number, email address and best
time to call. The medical staff office will assist you as needed with the
applications. You may need to apply for provider numbers with various insurance
companies. Please contact your consultant to discuss.
From the time you accept your position by signing your agreement, you should
anticipate about 6 months to transition to your new practice. This will allow you to
gain your state license, staff privileges and insurance provider numbers. You will
also need to potentially sell your home. Plan on visiting your new community 60-
90 days before your start date to find a place to live. Feel free to contact your
consultant to discuss any questions you or your significant other may have on the
interview and relocation process.
You will be an employee of the Kettering Health Network. The Letter of Intent and the Contract will come from Kirk Nelson and the recruiting team.
