Physician Recruitment Process and Compensation Overview

Lake Charles Memorial Health System offers a competitive base salary with a wRVU-based productivity bonus. Physicians who build and maintain strong clinical volume have earning potential up to the 90th percentile of MGMA benchmarks for psychiatry. The position is structured to reward productive physicians, and the combination of inpatient rounding, nursing home coverage, and optional outpatient clinic creates multiple pathways to generate RVUs.

The Medical Director role carries an additional administrative stipend for approximately 30 hours per month of program oversight, clinical leadership, and service line participation. This is compensated separately from clinical productivity.

Billing is managed entirely in-house by a dedicated coding team. Physicians do not manage billing independently. The team audits documentation, coaches on appropriate coding, and handles all claim submission, reducing administrative burden and improving revenue capture from day one.
