Compensation Model
- Base Salary: Starting at $330,000, with the potential to exceed $500,000 based on productivity, academic rank bonuses, and performance incentives.
- RVU Bonus Structure: Radiologists can earn additional income based on work RVU (wRVU) productivity, with bonuses starting at levels below the 10th percentile of AAARAD. RVUs are capped at relatively low thresholds, making this a highly productive model for physicians who value work-life balance while maintaining significant earning potential.
Potential Earnings Breakdown:
- A radiologist producing at the 25th percentile of AAARAD levels can earn $450,000+ annually, well above the national average for similar levels of productivity.
- Radiologists reading 5,000-6,000 RVUs per year can earn $470,000-$500,000, with additional performance and academic rank bonuses for assistant, associate, and full professors.

- Retirement Plan: 403(b) Retirement Plan. NJH contributes 6% of earnings up to the Social Security wage base, then 11% of earnings up to the IRS compensation limit.
- 457 Plan. Eligible employees who earn a minimum of the Social Security Wage Base are able to participate in this plan. In addition to participating fully in the 403(b) plan, the 457 plan allows eligible employees to defer additional contributions on a pre-tax basis.
