Ochsner offers a competitive guarantee commensurate with experience and training. The initial contract is for one year and automatically renews. The base salary ranges from $600,000 to $650,000, plus a sign-on bonus. Your base is guaranteed for two years, after which you will transition to a productivity model. However, your base does not go away. You can also receive production bonuses after the first year if you choose to go off the guarantee. The details of compensation will be discussed with you at the appropriate time.

We offer 4 weeks of PTO to start, with additional time accrued based on service. There are also 8 holidays and 2 weeks of paid CME. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • Long- and short-term disability insurance
  • Occurrence-based malpractice policy including tail insurance

We provide a variety of retirement plans, including:

  • 401(k) and 403(b) retirement options
  • 457(b)-plan offering additional deferred compensation up to $23,000

After eligibility is met, Ochsner contributes:

  • An amount equal to 2% of earnings (up to a compensation limit) into your 401(k) or 403(b)
  • A 2% match (up to a compensation limit) if you contribute at least 4% into your 401(k) or 403(b)

Contribution limits for 2025 include:

  • Up to $23,500
  • $31,000 for those aged 50 and older (including catch-up)
  • $34,750 for physicians aged 61, 62, or 63

The sign-on bonus is awarded immediately upon contract signing—no need to wait until your start date. Relocation assistance is also provided. Please note that, per IRS regulations, relocation assistance is considered taxable income.
