Flexible schedule, four (4) day clinical work week. The typical allocation will be two (2) days in clinic and two (2) OR days at the hospital.
Anticipated clinical volume will be between 18/22 patients per day and approximately 7-10 procedures during your days in the OR.
The clinic has nine (9) exam rooms and four (4) procedure rooms. It’s a great set up with all the procedure rooms on the inlet of the clinic.
The clinic is well-equipped to handle your clinical procedures, including a Urodynamic Room and scopes for Cystoscopy. There is also an independent OSC located next door.
MAs handle the catheter changes and injections.
Shared weekday and weekend call of 1:4. You can either take it every 4th day or in 8-day blocks.
Weekends are from 7am – 7pm, Saturday and Sunday.
According to Danette, Dr. Chelsey came into the hospital once in his last 10 days of call.
Most of the calls come in during your workday. If that happens, you just leave the clinic and walk to hospital depending on what the need is. Often it can wait until afternoon clinic. Danette will rearrange the schedule if needed.
On average weekend, you will get 1-2 calls.
There are hardly ever any Urology patients to go round on during the weekend. According to Danette, “it’s rare”.
