At Perry County Memorial Hospital, you'll join a collegial team of healthcare providers committed to delivering quality care in a positive work environment. The hospital currently employs approximately 15 providers, including 5 family practice physicians, 1 pediatrician, and several nurse practitioners who work collaboratively across the hospital's network of clinics.

The atmosphere among providers and staff is remarkably supportive, moving away from the siloed practices that can characterize larger systems. Recent administrative changes have transformed the workplace culture into one where teamwork and open communication are prioritized. This collaborative spirit extends across specialties, creating an environment where resources are shared and patient care is truly a team effort.

• Experienced physician colleagues including Dr. Poos, who serves as the medical director and is transitioning to a part-time CMO role to provide physician input at the administrative level
• Dedicated advanced practice providers including nurse practitioners who manage their own panels and collaborate closely with physicians
• Two psychiatric nurse practitioners who have quickly developed busy practices addressing critical mental health needs
• Specialty services provided by visiting physicians including orthopedics, ENT, urology, and general surgery
• Hospitalist coverage allowing outpatient providers to focus on clinic responsibilities without hospital call
• Low provider turnover since the new administration team arrived approximately three years ago
• Dedicated support staff including medical assistants who typically remain with the same provider, creating efficient clinical teams
• Collaborative cross-specialty relationships with specialists who are responsive to primary care referrals and readily accessible for consultation
