Phoenix Children's Hospital is currently recruiting pediatric cardiologists who specialize in Advance Heart Failure and Transplant to join the Phoenix Children’s Heart Center. The Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant program has an impressive contingent of collegial and experienced team members and is poised for significant growth. Opportunities are available for both a Medical Director and a faculty staff level specialist.
The pediatric cardiology department’s offices are located adjacent to the hospital in a beautiful new building inaugurated in March 2024. They are conveniently located as their clinic is on the 2nd floor of the hospital just 20 feet from the front door of their office building. As a pediatric cardiologist, you will play a crucial role in interdisciplinary patient care, collaborating closely with transplant cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, and dedicated cardiac NP and PA providers. Our comprehensive team includes psychiatrists, therapists, pathologists, social workers, a VAD Coordinator, and 4.5 advanced practice providers, ensuring robust support for our patients.
Our program is highly esteemed, averaging 12-15 heart transplants annually and providing comprehensive care for heart failure patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. We also support a mechanical circulatory support program offering the full range of pediatric and adult devices, including Ventricular Assist Devices (VADs) and Total Artificial Heart Implants (TAHs). With hundreds of mechanical circulatory support procedures performed each year, our team is at the forefront of innovative cardiac care.
In addition to our strong transplant program, we boast a robust Adult Congenital Heart program, providing specialized care for patients with congenital heart conditions well into adulthood. If you are passionate about pediatric cardiology and want to join a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional care and advancing the field, we invite you to consider this exciting opportunity.
