The pediatrician’s role is outpatient-only, with a schedule of four 8-hour clinic days, totaling 32 patient-facing hours per week, and one administrative day done remotely. Call duties will be shared on a 1:5 basis, with the RN triage line managing initial calls and referring to the physician on call when necessary. Typically, there are about two calls per week.
Patient volume varies seasonally, with 15-16 patients per day in the summer and 20-22 in the winter. The clinic allows autonomy in appointment scheduling, accommodating various types of visits such as well-baby checks, sick visits, physicals, and follow-ups. Each physician has three exam rooms, and MAs handle patient rooming. The clinic supports admitting and referring to Phoenix when necessary and offers training for procedures like circumcisions if desired.
The clinic benefits from strong leadership, with medical directors in Phoenix providing monthly support. Wendy, who previously owned the clinic, is the onsite champion, while Brandi Rone serves as the Director of Operations and Frankie, raised locally in Cottonwood, is the Clinic Manager.
This opportunity offers a fulfilling role in a welcoming community, allowing for professional growth and a balanced lifestyle.
