For an incoming Urologist, your week will consist of 3-4 days in the clinic and 1-2 days in the OR. You will have a typical Monday through Friday schedule which goes from 8a-5p. In clinic, you will see 15-20 patients per day and in the OR you could have 2-3 robotics cases, or 4-6 open cases per day. Flexible Cystoscopies, Urodynamics and Urodiagnostics done in clinic, with nursing that can assist.
There are 6 exam rooms, including procedure rooms and about 30-40 same day surgeries done by 3pm daily. OR turnover times are approximately 24 minutes per room. Someone who has a passion for robots could really flourish here.
Call will consist of 7 days per month. 5p-7p and then start again at 7a. Consultative call only unless it is your own patient.
Administration is committed to your success, so if there is something else you require, we are open to additional conversation. When you arrive, leadership will do a “Road Show” for you, introducing you to the Primary Care Providers, other physicians, and important community members. This should allow you to quickly mesh with the medical community and build your new patient panel.
The Hospital is committed to their community, so they have locum tenens Urology providers that will be contracted to support the hospital and keep market share while we are recruiting additional providers. The administration plans to build a new Urology Clinic by 2025 and add 4 more Operating Rooms.
