St. Francis Hospital is a 300+ Bed Hospital Level III Trauma Center with a 41 Bed CLOSED ICU. The Hospital has a team of intensivists and ICU/ER coverage 24/7. Procedures are not required.

There is also a Nocturnist program. The program is designed to have 4 Nocturnists working 2 at a time, and 26 Daytime Hospitalists (13 per week). The current census is not at capacity, however with a potential hospital closing in the region the recruitment effort to expand the Hospitalist program is to prepare for the influx of patients and hospital utilization.

As a Daytime Hospitalist you will be seeing an average of 10-14 patients per day with 2-4 Admissions per day in a 7on/7off Block Structured Schedule.

The hospital works with Medical Students and has an IM Residency, and the FP Residency will be starting in 2025-2026. There will be the ability to work with these physicians and have their assistance to handle some of your daily duties etc. APP’s are available for the hospitalist, there are 2 or 3 for daytime assistance.

St. Francis Hospital embraces and has opportunities to help you grow as a person and as a physician by being able to participate in leadership development opportunities; or take on a leadership role if that is something you are interest in.
