We need a Gastroenterologist to join a 300+ bed nonprofit health system in Western Indiana. The oncoming provider will be joining a team of two established physicians, one physician assistant, and two nurse practitioners. Given the ability to create your clinic and procedure schedule, this regional referral center also partners with Indiana State University and St. Francis, which allows the opportunity to perform research and academics.
The primary focus of an integrated health system is to provide seamless care for patients and their families. What makes integrated health care special is the sharing of information among caregivers. By sharing health information through a single medical record system, important patterns can be detected and addressed quickly. Teamwork between caregivers supports "complete" treatment and improves overall patient well-being.
ERCP is not required but welcomed. If the incoming provider would like to do EUS, though minimal, it can be done for Dr. Jitender Bhandari is willing to proctor if needed. You are given the ability to dominate the market serving 9 communities with over 250,000 population draw area (Only 40,000 required to support 1 GI). Current physicians are booked out 3-4 months in advance, but there is a marketing team to assist if needed. The physician will only cover one clinic and the hospital but if you would like to do community outreach that is also an option to do so.
