This position is part of a growing practice in a community hospital setting, featuring 150 service beds, 20 ICU beds, and a Level IV Trauma Designation. The hospital boasts a spacious cath lab and clinic space adjacent to the main facility, with plans for further expansion.
Currently, the cardiology team consists of two providers - one interventional and one general cardiologist - with active recruitment underway to expand to two full-time general cardiologists. The practice benefits from APP support, and there are plans to introduce a rotating electrophysiologist to complement the services of a visiting interventional cardiologist who performs procedures twice monthly.
Work-life balance is a key focus of this role, with a standard 4.5-day work week. Clinic hours run from 8 AM to 5 PM, with the last patient scheduled at 4:15 PM, and physicians enjoy a half-day dedicated to administrative tasks each week. Responsibilities primarily revolve around patient care, with minimal administrative duties. Rounding is limited to one location, and APP support is available for weekend call coverage.
The compensation package is highly competitive, offering a salary guarantee for 1-2 years, followed by an RVU-based plan with additional value and finance bonuses.
