Baptist Health Stuttgart is a 49-bed hospital affiliated with the larger Baptist system of health that spans across most of the South and Southeast. Baptist Stuttgart is a Level IV trauma center that is designated to provide advanced trauma life support (ATLS) prior to the transfer of patients to a higher-level trauma center. The staff is able to provide evaluation, stabilization and diagnostic capabilities for injured patients.
Baptist Health Stuttgart is looking for a full-time General Surgeon to come on staff and provide surgical services to Stuttgart and its surrounding towns.
It has been nearly five years since the hospital has had a permanent surgical presence in Stuttgart, and with the nearly-8,000 annual ER visits that come into the hospital, the market is primed for a surgeon to take over and focus on general outpatient surgeries. Currently, Baptist Stuttgart is stabilizing and shipping most surgical cases that cannot be accomplished with the help of the neighboring group of FPs that are across the road in Stuttgart. Any incoming GS can be expected to ramp up very quickly, with ample access to surgical equipment (not including a robot, but Kevin is open to discussion), and the space to expand as the clinic expands.
