As a Breast Radiologist at Conway Medical Center (CMC), you step into a role where your expertise immediately shapes patient outcomes, program direction, and the future of breast health for one of South Carolina’s fastest-growing regions. From your first day, you become a central clinical voice in a system that values physician leadership and invests heavily in advanced imaging technology, collaborative cancer care, and seamless patient experience. Your practice is predominantly breast-focused—more than 80% of your work will involve screening and diagnostics, advanced imaging interpretation, and image-guided procedures that define modern breast radiology.
CMC has earned the distinction of being the #1 rated hospital on Google in South Carolina and a three-time Forbes “Best in State Employer”. The hospital’s leadership team is deeply physician-centric, giving you autonomy in clinical decision-making while providing the infrastructure needed to practice at the top of your specialty. You’ll work side-by-side with elite partners at the Godwin Healing Center, a Duke Cancer Network affiliate, ensuring that your interpretations feed directly into coordinated multidisciplinary care with surgeons, oncologists, and APPs who rely on your judgment as the first critical step in guiding each patient’s journey.
Horry County is one of the fastest-growing counties in the United States, creating a rising demand for high-quality breast imaging services. CMC serves a large and diverse regional population that depends on timely access to advanced diagnostics, rapid interpretation, and the consistency of subspecialty-driven care. Your presence directly strengthens breast cancer detection and survivorship for an entire coastal community, many of whom choose CMC because of its Duke-affiliated oncology program and reputation for patient-centered care.
This full-time role immerses you in a technologically advanced, highly coordinated breast imaging environment. You’ll work with 3D mammography, breast MRI, tomosynthesis, PET/CT, and image-guided biopsy tools, supported by nighthawk coverage for general diagnostic reads so that you maintain a focused breast practice without late-night interruptions. The schedule is designed to preserve your work-life balance—there is no call, allowing you to concentrate on delivering exceptional daytime care and participating meaningfully in multidisciplinary conferences.
In this role, you will become a trusted expert and influential voice in a rapidly developing breast imaging and oncology ecosystem—one where patients, physicians, and administrators rely on your insight, value your presence, and view your work as foundational to sustaining the region’s exceptional standard of care.
