Patient Population and Clinical Scope

Stockton represents one of the most diverse communities in the United States, and your patient panel will reflect that multicultural richness. You’ll provide care across the spectrum of women’s health—from adolescent gynecology through postmenopausal care—with patients already waiting due to a service gap caused by the departure of a previous group.

  • Diverse, multigenerational patient demographics
  • Immediate volume through established referral networks
  • Full office-based gynecologic procedure suite: colposcopy, LEEP, etc.
  • Labor and delivery access at St. Joseph’s Medical Center
  • NICU support from ~20 weeks gestational age
  • MFM support via Valley Perinatology group
  • Tertiary referrals to UC Davis, UCSF, or Oakland Children's as needed

Call Schedule: Optional and Supported

Unlike traditional OB/GYN roles, call is truly optional—whether you choose to participate for additional income or prefer to focus exclusively on outpatient care. An OB hospitalist program provides full inpatient support, ensuring no overnight surprises unless you specifically want that responsibility.

Productivity and Scheduling Flexibility

New physicians benefit from an intentional ramp-up period—generous appointment times and reduced volume to allow for meaningful patient care and onboarding. You’ll then transition to wRVU-based productivity standards with customizable scheduling, including 4-day workweeks. For Program Directors, 50% of time is protected for academic responsibilities.

  • Extended visit times during ramp-up (60 min new, 40 min follow-up)

Clinical Support and Future Growth

As one of the founding physicians in this brand-new service line, you’ll play a direct role in building your clinical environment—including helping shape future APP hires. The foundation’s goal is a 3-4 physician team, ensuring peer collaboration and call coverage as volume increases.
