Jefferson Health Care Hospital is an independently owned 25-Bed, level IV Critical Access Hospital. It is the only hospital in Jefferson County and has 24-hour coverage by hospitalists, a top rated surgical services and includes; an emergency room, also lab services, swing bed unit, and the latest in digital imaging. This includes new 3D mammography equipment, as well as a comprehensive array of physical, speech and occupational rehabilitation therapies.
Jefferson Healthcare was one of the first five hospitals in the Washington to be designated Baby-Friendly by the World Health Organization. This hospital has a full service orthopedic clinic and an oncology clinic; administering infusion services of chemotherapy, immunotherapy and other treatments. The Medical Short Stay includes wound care, sleep medicine, Coumadin and anti-coagulation services. We provide Wellness programs, a broad range of support groups and community education programs. Jefferson Healthcare has nine clinics throughout the county and a nationally recognized award winning Home Health service provider and Hospice office. The primary care clinics are located near the hospital in Port Townsend, Port Ludlow, and Quilcene. The primary care clinics provide pediatrics, family medicine, obstetrics, women’s health, and urgent care. We also have a Specialty Clinic that provides pulmonary care, urological surgery and pelvic floor reconstruction and cardiology care services. Jefferson Healthcare, has been recognized as a “Leader in LGBT Healthcare Equality” by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation, the educational arm of the country’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights organization.
