Due to the continued growth of the county, we need an Orthopedic surgeon specialized in either foot/ankle or hand/wrist to join our growing team.
The incoming Orthopedic Surgeon would be part of the MedStar Orthopedic Institute at MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital. You will join three other surgeons: Dr. Emmanuel Atiemo, Dr. Jefrey Matheny, and Dr. John Kurri, a PA Jennifer Yang, two MAs, and we are hiring a 3rd.
This is high-volume practice. Dr. Atiemo said he sees 25-30 patients a day, of which 70% are joints. Post-Ops go to our PA. The wait to see a provider is based on your availability. There is very little competition in the area. The only competition comes from a 5-provider private group.
Call:
Call is 6 days per month which includes one 3-day weekend. If you take additional call, you will be compensated: $1000 for a weekday and $1500 for a weekend day. Call is shared with the private practice group.
