Collaborative Culture and Team Excellence

At Adventist Health Portland, you’ll become part of a seasoned, mission-driven team that reflects both clinical excellence and authentic community. The Family Medicine clinics at Gresham Station and Portland proper are home to a group of collaborative professionals who are deeply committed to whole-person health and long-term patient relationships. This team has a track record of stability, diversity, and inclusive leadership, creating an environment where you’ll be both supported and inspired.

Many members of the current staff have been with Adventist Health for decades, with several physicians and mid-level providers boasting over 20 years of service. This level of tenure speaks to the organization’s culture of trust, professional development, and shared purpose. It also means new providers step into a clinic culture rich with mentorship, clinical wisdom, and operational consistency.

Team Composition

  • Physicians with backgrounds in general family medicine, women’s health, geriatrics, and chronic disease management
  • Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants who collaborate on care planning, patient follow-ups, and chronic care initiatives
  • Medical Assistants (MAs) assigned individually to providers for efficient rooming, documentation prep, and clinical support
  • Clinic Operations and Scheduling Staff who ensure smooth daily workflow and patient satisfaction
  • Leadership Team including experienced Medical Directors and a site-based Clinic Manager who emphasize transparent communication, data-driven decision-making, and provider wellness

The clinic actively promotes inclusivity, with staff representing a broad range of backgrounds, cultures, and experiences, including LGBTQ+ team members and multilingual support personnel. This intentional diversity enhances both workplace culture and patient care delivery in a multicultural city like Portland.

Physicians who join the team are invited into a collaborative governance structure where their voices are valued. Leadership roles are accessible, including Dyad Co-Leader positions and mentorship tracks for those who wish to contribute beyond the exam room. Whether you’re seeking mentorship, collaboration, or leadership, you’ll find it embedded in the DNA of this team.
