CONTRACT PROCESS

After you, and your spouse/significant other, have reviewed the information on the practice and community, and you are interested in being considered for the opportunity, kindly forward us a copy of your CV if we do not already have it.  We will need to spend some time on the phone with you, and your spouse, to gain a clear understanding of your current situation. We will document that information in the form of a cover letter and forward that on to our client.

We will verify your board certification and all state licenses. You will need to complete our electronic candidate background disclosure form via DocuSign which will automatically be sent to your Recruiter Consultant. If you have any current or past background issues, malpractice cases that were dropped, settled, or still pending we will need them to be disclosed to our client. Kindly provide us a brief written explanation of these cases.

We will forward your information, along with two potential interview dates, to our client, Tyler Brewer, Physician Recruiter. Should that call go well, we will arrange a time for you to interview. Your spouse, or significant other is also invited to attend the interview and evaluate the community. They will fly you into one of the 5 airports nearby, and drive to Sonora. You will meet with the physicians, leadership, and staff over the better part of the day to get a feel for their personalities and how you will fit into the medical community. You will also tour the community with a local realtor that is familiar with the entire area.

After your interview, we will receive feedback from all staff members that met with you over the next seven to ten days. We will follow up with you regarding your interest and the next steps.  If an offer is extended it will be in the form of a Letter of Intent (LOI). Once you sign the LOI. You will get a contract emailed to you via DocuSign, once you receive the contract, kindly review, sign and return it.

All offers are contingent upon referencing and credentialling.  Our client will want to conduct three professional references on your behalf.  Provide the references’ name, title and relationship to you.  These should be physicians and staff members that know you well and can discuss your clinical skills, fund of knowledge, how you work with others etc. Please prepare your references, so they know to expect the call, and the best time and phone number to reach them.  Should you need to keep your search in confidence, we will respect your wishes. However, should an offer be extended after your interview, you should be prepared to submit your reference list.

Upon acceptance of your offer and execution of your contract, you will need to complete a state license and medical staff application. Medical staff credentialing takes on average 60-90 days to be completed. The committee board meets once a month, so if we miss the one meeting per month, then your application will not be approved until the following month.  Applying for a state license in California may take 3-5 months. To expedite this process, it will be important to fill out the application completely. Contact the person responsible for verifying your credentials from any previous location where you had privileges, licenses, or completed your education or training. Make sure to put all their contact information-direct dial phone number, fax number, email address and best time to call. The medical staff office will assist you as needed with the applications. You may need to apply for provider numbers with various insurance companies. Please contact your consultant to discuss.
