A Collaborative Team of Dedicated Women's Health Professionals

When you join AdventHealth Northwest Georgia Women's Care, you'll become part of a cohesive, experienced team that values collaboration and mutual support. The practice includes three seasoned OBGYNs, including Dr. Joy Nwadike, board-certified and bringing over 20 years of clinical expertise. A Morehouse School of Medicine graduate with residency at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Dr. Nwadike exemplifies the team's reputation for clinical excellence and compassionate care.

The practice fosters a collegial culture of mentorship and consultation, where complex cases benefit from collective insight and new physicians receive the support needed to integrate and thrive. This aligns seamlessly with AdventHealth’s whole-person care philosophy, which emphasizes care for the body, mind, and spirit.

Two certified midwives offer essential expertise in low-risk obstetrical care and women's wellness, while four advanced practice providers (nurse practitioners and physician assistants) enhance capacity and ensure efficient, continuous patient care.

This position marks the addition of a fourth OBGYN, with a fifth joining in 2026. The methodical growth strategy allows each physician to build a patient panel comfortably while maintaining workload balance and clinical quality.

You’ll also collaborate with the OB hospitalist team at AdventHealth Gordon, who provide 24/7 in-house coverage for labor, delivery, and the OB Emergency Department. This reduces the burden of traditional call while maintaining strong patient-provider continuity.

The collaborative energy extends across the practice—from physicians and midwives to nursing, surgical, and administrative teams. Together, they cultivate a workplace that prioritizes clinical excellence, professional growth, and personal well-being.
