Typical surgical cases and procedures are peripheral nerve blocks, thoracic and lumbar epidurals, central venous access, arterial access, and bronchoscopy. Your working environment consists of 11 Main ORs, 2 C/S ORs, 2 Endoscopy Suites, 4 Surgery Center ORs. Anesthesiologists may move between main OR and the surgery center based on volumes and need however typically when you are at the surgery center there are enough volumes to keep you there for the day. Surgery center cases typically include ophthalmology, ENT, and Pediatric Dental. CRNAs are also assigned here and the Anesthesiologist provides pre-op and breaks.
Typical Daily Volumes for the entire department are roughly 40 cases per day.
