Navigating the Clinical Component

The clinical landscape at BSA Hospital provides an exceptional environment for neurologists to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care across a broad spectrum of neurological conditions. The hospital serves as a vital healthcare hub for a vast draw area encompassing approximately 600,000 people, making it an ideal setting for providers looking to cultivate a robust and rewarding practice.

As a neurologist at BSA, you will encounter a diverse patient population and manage a wide array of conditions, including multiple sclerosis, migraines, sleep disorders, movement disorders, epilepsy, vascular conditions, and Alzheimer’s disease. The clinic’s resources support advanced diagnostics and treatments, including Botox for migraines, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and in-house infusions for autoimmune neuropathies, Guillain-Barré syndrome, and myasthenia gravis. Additional diagnostic capabilities include vascular ultrasound and access to high-quality imaging services at the hospital.

The clinic operates on a collaborative model, with each provider supported by a dedicated registered nurse (RN) and medical assistant (MA), ensuring efficient workflows and optimal patient care. For those with a passion for procedures, the clinic offers the opportunity to perform EMG and EEG studies, with the flexibility of block scheduling if desired. Dr. Sean Milligan, one of the team’s neurologists, exemplifies this approach by integrating EMG patients into his schedule seamlessly, setting a model of adaptability and patient focus.
Notably, there are currently no call responsibilities associated with this role, as Blue Sky Tele-Neurology manages all inpatient needs. This structure allows providers to focus exclusively on outpatient care, offering greater work-life balance and minimizing disruptions to their schedules.

For outpatient care, providers enjoy autonomy in shaping their schedules and are supported by Epic EMR, with the potential introduction of Ambiance AI to streamline documentation and improve patient interaction.

BSA Hospital’s extensive resources, combined with its highly collaborative medical teams and robust support systems, create an environment where neurologists can thrive while delivering high-quality, personalized care. This focus on innovation and teamwork underscores BSA’s commitment to meeting the neurological needs of its growing patient community.
