Baylor Scott & White has MD anesthesiologists who cover all OR procedures, ensuring high-quality perioperative care and surgical support. Nestled in an affluent community just outside of Austin, the hospital attracts a diverse mix of patients, including retirees and those with complex medical needs. Physicians can expect a steady volume of general urology cases, such as kidney stones, prostate conditions, urinary tract infections, and urological cancers. The Buda role is based at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Buda, a modern, family-focused facility that opened in 2019. This 15-bed hospital has quickly become a trusted healthcare provider in the community, with the highest patient satisfaction scores across the entire BSW system. The experienced OR team supports urology and a variety of other specialties, such as general surgery and podiatry. While there is no onsite robotic system, candidates have access to robotics at nearby facilities in Lakeway or Austin. Buda’s close-knit, community-oriented culture is ideal for physicians who enjoy building meaningful relationships with their colleagues and patients. The incoming physician will see a wide range of general urology cases, including stones, benign prostate hyperplasia, urinary incontinence, and vasectomy procedures, as well as care for both routine and urgent urological conditions.
Call coverage for both positions is shared across the Lakeway, Buda, and Austin facilities, with an average of 8 days per month, including one weekend. Physicians will benefit from BSW’s integrated Epic EMR system, which simplifies communication across all sites and fosters strong connections within the network.
