Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center (CVRMC) is a 25-bed critical access hospital located in Globe, Arizona, serving as the primary healthcare provider for southern Gila County and the surrounding Copper Corridor. Established in 1910 as a miner’s tent clinic, CVRMC has evolved into a modern, nonprofit facility committed to delivering high-quality, efficient, and compassionate care to its community.
In 2010, the hospital transitioned from Cobre Valley Community Hospital to its current name, reflecting its expanded role in the region. A significant expansion project completed in 2017 added 66,810 square feet to the facility, introducing new patient-centered medical/surgical rooms, a family birth center, ICU rooms, a pharmacy, a cath lab, a wound center, and additional amenities.
CVRMC's mission is to develop and maintain a local healthcare delivery system that serves the region with high-quality, efficient, and compassionate care. The hospital employs a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, including two hospitalists overseeing inpatient care, and offers over 20 different medical specialties ranging from family practice to cardiology and geriatric medicine.
The facility is actively expanding its reach through the development of new clinics in the Copper Corridor, including locations in Kearny, Superior, and Pleasant Valley. Additionally, CVRMC is enhancing its telemedicine capabilities, supported by a USDA Rural Development investment, to provide high-quality chronic care management, preventive services, and health education to over 13,000 individuals in Gila and Pinal counties.
