There is a significant need for expanded Breast Surgery services in our area, presenting an incredible opportunity for you to make a meaningful impact on patient care. You will join two other Breast Surgeons.

Comprehensive Services Offered:  

  • Automated Full Breast Ultrasound: Providing advanced imaging for thorough breast examinations.  ]
  • Breast MRI: Utilizing magnetic resonance imaging for detailed breast tissue analysis. 
  • Diagnostic Ultrasound: Offering precise imaging to assist in the diagnosis of breast abnormalities. 
  • Digital Mammography: Delivering high-resolution mammographic images for accurate detection of breast issues. 
  • Minimally Invasive Biopsy Procedures: Conducting biopsies with minimal discomfort and rapid recovery. 
  • Nurse Navigators: Providing personalized guidance and support throughout the patient’s journey. 
  • 3D Tomosynthesis: Enhancing mammography with three-dimensional imaging for improved accuracy.

Scope of Practice 
Full-Time Position 

  • Work Hours: 36 Patient Contact Hours/4 Admin Hours per week. 
  • Schedule: 
    Clinic: 2 days per week. 
    Operating Room: 2-3 days per week

Call  

  • Frequency: on call for own patients  
  • On-Call Duties: 
    Average of one call per day. A busy day may see up to 3 calls. 
  • Proximity: 
    Prefer candidates to reside within a 30-minute response time to the hospital. 
    Prefer candidates to live in the local community.

Clinic Patient Volume

  • Patients: Seeing an average of 22 patients per day. 
  • Support Staff: 
    One physician assistant for follow-ups. 
    One medical assistant. 
    Two front desk.  
  • Procedures and Cases 
    Aspiration to drain a breast cyst 
    Biopsy with X-ray or mammography guidance to diagnose breast cancer and other diseases 
    Breast cancer surgery including lumpectomy to remove a breast tumor and mastectomy to remove the entire breast 
    Prophylactic mastectomy to remove the breasts in people with a high risk of breast cancer.  
    Resection of lymph nodes to remove cancerous lymph nodes near the breast 
    Breast reconstruction to restore and rebuild the breast after mastectomy or lumpectomy, performed by a plastic surgeon.  
  • Volume: 
    Currently 400 cases per year for the practice. 
    Expectation is 25 cases per month per provider. 
  • Number of ORs: 6  
  • Robotics a plus – 3 DaVinci XI
