General Cardiology Position Overview

The General Non-Invasive Cardiology position at Mercy Medical Group offers a dynamic blend of outpatient and inpatient services. With three office days per week, the cardiologist can expect to see a manageable patient load of 10-13 patients each day, ensuring ample time for comprehensive evaluations and personalized care. Additionally, the position entails 10 hospital days per month, where the cardiologist functions as a cardiac hospitalist, overseeing stress tests and interpreting echoes. With the opportunity for one three-day weekend per month, the schedule promotes a healthy work-life balance. New patients currently are expecting a wait time of approximately 5 months, highlighting the need for a cardiologist to start seeing patients from day one and contribute to the provision of timely and quality care. In addition, there are two Locums Non-Invasive Cardiologists: Dr. Daniel Rieders and Dr. Meena Zareh will be discontinued once you start working with the team Dr. Callaham and Dr. Nguyen will continue to assist as needed until the additional coverage is no longer needed. Granting you the opportunity to accumulate additional RVUS. Below are their RVU volumes that we believe you will be able to pick up once you start ramping up.

  • The current RVU volume accumulated is both from weekday and weekend call.
  • The reason for the current need is due to two providers leaving within the last two years, one of the providers moved out of state for family reasons and the other provider left because it wasn’t a good personality match.
