Understanding the Role

A Community Surgeon with Regional Impact

Step into a role where your surgical expertise directly improves access to care across northeast Georgia. At Elbert Memorial Hospital, a 25-bed critical access facility in Elberton, you'll serve as the primary general surgeon for a broad, underserved region—offering life-changing services to patients who would otherwise face long travel times for basic procedures.

In this essential role, you’ll lead a high-impact surgical service line in a community that genuinely values your presence. You’ll divide your time between clinic and OR, providing the kind of continuity of care that builds trust and delivers results. Supported by experienced staff, modern surgical suites, and advanced imaging, your practice will thrive in a physician-focused environment committed to clinical excellence.
