Hamblen Urology Clinic is part of Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System/Covenant Health and is in the same parking lot as the Hospital. It is a 167-bed hospital serving patients throughout the surrounding 8-county area. The hospital offers comprehensive medical care with six Centers of Excellence, including Morristown Regional Cancer Center, a Women’s Center, Breast Center, Outpatient Surgery Center, an Emergency and Critical Care Center, and the Heart, Lung, and Vascular Center. There is a new 50,000-square-foot facility with a free-standing emergency department and diagnostic center as well as physician offices. The catchment area is between 150,000 to 280,000 patients and only has one full-time Urologist.
The Urology group currently consists of one full-time Urologists, Dr. Philip Serbin with more than 35 years medical experience in Urology.

Typical schedule – Monday – Thursday, half day Friday
Procedures per week – Current physician is doing 15-20 a week. But this is not expected of an incoming provider.
PPD - 20-25 clinic visits per 4-day workweek

Call – 10 days per month, very light and non-stressful, the ED will admit, and possibly text for consultation. The hospitalist will round and do the initial consultation.
