Position Overview

Understanding the Role

INTEGRIS Health is recruiting a full-time, hospital-employed Gastroenterology Hospitalist for its Southwest Campus in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This is a newly created position, established as INTEGRIS transitions inpatient GI coverage from an outside private group to a directly employed physician model. The opening represents a ground-floor opportunity to shape an inpatient GI program within one of the region's largest and most established health systems.

This is a pure inpatient role. There are no clinic responsibilities, no outpatient panel, and no administrative obligations. The physician's focus is entirely on inpatient GI care.

Why This Position Exists

INTEGRIS Health previously contracted inpatient GI coverage to Digestive Disease Specialists (DDSI), a private group. That relationship ended, and INTEGRIS is now building its own employed GI hospitalist team. The Southwest Campus is the first site in this expansion. The GI Section Chief, based at the Edmond campus, provides leadership and oversight for the growing program.

Reporting and Culture

The physician will work within a physician-led culture at a non-profit health system. The inpatient team includes hospitalists who manage general medical admissions, 24/7 in-house intensivists, and a strong surgical support structure. During the on-week, the GI hospitalist is the sole GI provider on campus, supported by a close-knit team across nursing, anesthesia, and hospital medicine.
