Megan E. Walling, MSPAS, PA-C is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in urgent care medicine. She earned her degree from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan and is certified with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. For the past five years, she has been practicing in the urgent care sector, providing care across the lifespan to patients with acute illness and injury. Over the past year, she has served as a Lead Advanced Practice Provider for MedStar Prompt Care. In this role she helps train new providers and works with MedStar Health leadership to champion evidence-based medicine with an emphasis on safety and superior patient experience.
Jerald "Chris" Magee has been with MedStar since October 2020. He currently serves as the Lead APP for the Southern Maryland Region of MedStar Health Urgent Care (MHUC) and is one of the Associate Directors of the MHUC Fellowship Program for APPs. He graduated PA school from the Interservice Physician Assistant Program (IPAP) as an Air Force PA in 2000. He completed an Emergency Medicine Fellowship in 2004. Chris retired from the Air Force in 2007 and stayed with his wife and daughter in the southern Maryland region living in Waldorf and then La Plata. He has 16 years of ED experience prior to moving to urgent care. In his off time, you can find him volunteering at the Port Tobacco Players which is the oldest continuously running community theater in Maryland. He designs and builds sets for plays and musicals, serves on the Facilities Committee and was previously on the Board of Directors. Any time left after that is spent traveling with his wife, growing herbs and flowers, hunting, and fishing. He genuinely loves living in southern Maryland and hopes you will consider coming to join him and the MedStar Team.
